Two Professors Walk into the Woods...
We are two university professors who decided to do something different. We bought land in the country to raise livestock, but we didn't know what kind. Horses? Sheep? Goats?
Then we went to an alpaca show. We fell in love with the charming little hummers, and now here we are! We breed huacaya alpacas for both fleece and color. Our ranch is five miles west of Western Oregon University and Monmouth, Oregon, in between Salem and the Coastal Mountains.
